Uploading pictures to the Internet using Google's Picasa

    • Free! You just need a free Google Account
    • 1 GB storage
    • Can make albums open to the public or private (require password to get in)
    • Cancreate slideshows of the pictures and put them in a separate web page or blog.

Blogs
  • Hillcrest's own blog (MovableType): Mr. Calkins' 4th Grade Class
    • This is primarily for plain text: lesson plans, notes, assignments, etc.
    • You can add images/video, but it is complicated and not very user friendly
  • Blogger (Google): Mr. Calkins' 7th Grade Class
    • Very flexible and easy to use
    • Easy to add text color, images, video, news, etc.
